The story
At 9:40 PM the lights flickered in the east gallery of the Hollis Museum. When they came back on, the gala crowd was staring at an empty frame. The painting, a small, famous portrait worth more than the building, was gone.
Detectives have already searched the halls. What they haven’t searched is the curator’s study, locked since the night of the theft. The curator kept meticulous notes, a desk full of catalog cards and a habit of hiding things in plain sight.
You have 60 minutes before the insurance investigators arrive and seal the room. Read the paintings, question the catalog and follow the curator’s trail to the missing portrait.
